Wow, we missed the whole month of February. We've been busy and sick -- a couple of ear infections, stomach viruses, sinus infections. Nothing major, just nagging little things. We're all ready for spring. That Grace is (crossing fingers) finally well. She can put on her coat by herself. It's amazing. I lay it out on the floor for her and she leans over and puts her arms in the sleeves and lifts it up over her head, like this. She says the blessing (although only God can understand her) and is becoming obsessive about her routines.

Just a Quick Update

Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens
We had our Tot Class Halloween Party today. We didn't stay the whole time because That Grace was still not feeling her normal self. She's still crazy about the babies, though. She had a great time but we left after the snack, so we missed the pumpking carving. Unfortunately, we had to forego Boo at the Zoo this year. I hate that we have to miss it, because she really loved it last year, but it is just too cold for her to be out.
Hmm, this was my first hint that she might need to go home and take a nap!

Scenes from 2:00 a.m.
Our little sicko searching for a popsicle, the only "solid" nourishment she wants.
At 2:00 in the morning, sitting on the kitchen floor with Daddy.
Passing time in the doctor's office. It's officially an ear infection -- her 2nd one.
That Grace wanted to catch up on her reading while she was home sick.
Finally feeling better! Tonight I gave her a no spill sippy cup of milk and started cleaning up the kitchen. She went to one of her little tables and turned her cup upside down and intently started shaking it. Once she got a few drops of milk to come out, she said, "uh oh," and asked for a cloth to wipe it up!

Sick Day #3
That Grace is still sick, so we've had to stick pretty close to home. We just ran a few errands today.

what we've been doing this week
And all we've been doing this week. She hasn't felt like doing much. The only thing that seems to make her happy is reading. These are some of her favorites. Her absolute favorite lately is Everywhere Babies. She'll grab her blanket and go pat the seat of the rocker in her room trying to get me to read it to her one more time. (notice there's no food featured in this post)

sick, sick baby

She had a fever of 104 and didn't want to drink or eat anything. We finally got her to eat some popsicles. She liked them enough that she kept chanting, "popsicle, popsicle, popsicle." We were thrilled to finally hear her talking. Unfortunately, it didn't stick. She's gone back to all animal noises now. On the up side, her rooster impression is hilarious. I awoke the other morning to her crowing.
